Beginner Spotlight
Music West welcomes John Gao, age 7, a student of Ms. Bergova, is in his 1st semester of flute playing. He participated in two of the three Music West's 2008 Summer Flute Camps and performed his 1st recital on flute with The Silver Whistles Flute Choir.
His current flute repertoire includes an array of Baroque minuets and will perform in a class recital duets with guitarist Michael Gleischer, September 6th at 5:30pm at Ms. Bergova's Tea party. In addition he plays the recorder and placed 1st in the Music Teachers of California sonata piano competition. Congratulations John!
McKenna Stoudemire, age 9, a student of Dr. Payne started on a curved head joint flute to reach the keys at age 4. Her repertoire includes “Silly Songs for Flute”, Bach Minuets. This year McKenna will play a full length flute. Awesome!
